There is a large collection of books permanently located in the Butte County library, with an additional number (almost unlimited) available for loan to Gridley cardholders through north state inter-loan facilities.

The Gridley Herald is the only newspaper published in the City of Gridley, established and family owned and operated since 1880, it publishes on Wednesday and Friday. Office is located at 630 Washington Street, (530) 846-3661.
