McCutcheon Monument
At the center of the Military Veterans Court of Honor is a monument in remembrance of who may have been the first U.S. soldier to fall in World War II.
"The First to Fall" monument is dedicated to Seaman 2nd Class Warren H. McCutcheon. Born and raised in the Gridley-Biggs area, he was killed at the age of 17 by the Japanese sneak attack on Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941.
